Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ new visual for their latest collaboration “Please Me” esthetically follows up with their “Finesse (Remix) visual, which paid homage to the ‘90s TV series “In Living Color.” A year ago they teamed up and danced together charmingly in the video for a nostalgia-drenched four-minute tribute, and now fast forward and the two are back at it again for their newest track!
The funky bedroom track accompanied by its visual is reminiscent to Grease, with it’s team of girls, a crew of guys, a diner, a bunch of flirting, and some vintage cars. Bruno co-directed the video with his frequent music-video collaborator Florent Dechard, and it makes for a pleasantly flirty dance party.
The video kicks off with Bruno and his friends eating at a diner when Cardi and her friends walk in. Before you know it, everyone is dancing together. Naturally leading to Bruno laying Cardi across the hood of a car and the two of them singing at each other while standing up in moving classic convertibles. It’s nothing you haven’t seen before, but it’s still fun enough on its own terms.
