Welcome to the era of YE. As of September 29th, Chi-Town rapper formerly known as Kanye West, has officially changed his stage name. Ahead of his new album ‘YANDHI,’ the controversial rapper will now and forever go by “YE.” This is to no surprise as fans and personalities have been shortening his name for forever. ‘YE’ is also the title of his most recent solo album. The quaint hip-hop vet took to Twitter to tweet to his 28.5million followers that he no longer wants to go by his full name, Kanye, Yeezy, or Yeezus. The announcement was made the same day of his performance for the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. Meanwhile, after his SNL performance YE’s new upcoming album was set to release. Unfortunately, the album still wasn’t released on time following his performance alongside Lil Pump, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor and 808 Shake. For now peep the official name change tweet below.
