And just that quick Jussie Smollett has been indicted by a Grand Jury for filing a false police report and claiming to be a victim of a racist and homophobic attack.
After reviewing evidence and hearing the testimonies, the Grand Jury handed down the indictment and could lead up to a possible 3 years in prison. Brothers Ola and Abel Osundairo told the jurors that they staged the “attack” and received compensation. Evidence also showed the brothers purchasing supplies before the incident occurred that consisted of ski masks, gloves, bandannas, sunglasses and red hats.
Although Jussie was a victim until now, multiple law enforcement had their doubts early on. It’s just Jussie was a victim until proven otherwise. They found it strange that he kept the rope around his neck for 42 minutes after the "attack," and were suspicious when he took them to the scene and immediately pointed to a camera which he said captured the incident. Come to find out, the camera was pointed in the wrong direction.
The brothers also told police they drove around with Jussie days before the incident scouting a location and even rehearsed the "attack." Law officials believe Jussie choose January 29th because he knew that was the day that the brothers were leaving for Nigeria.
Even the mail that was sent to FOX Studios in Chicago is being investigated by FBI and is in question. They are checking to see if the postal stamps or magazine pages that were seized at the brothers’ pad match the cut-out letters used in the racist and homophobic letter.
Tsss tsss tsss. We are all sure Jussie didn’t think it’ll all play out this way.
