Kehlani has been welcomed into motherhood! Over the weekend, the “While We Wait” songstress and her boyfriend, Javie Young- White, welcomed their daughter, Adeya Nomi.
The singer-songwriter also revealed the she delivered baby Adeya in an "unmedicated homebirth," which she says, "was the absolute hardest yet most powerful thing i've ever done." Kehlani had previously discussed her lifelong dream of becoming a mom, writing in her pregnancy announcement post:
"Dearest little girl, I am so proud to be your mommy. I am so proud to have received you. I cannot wait to meet you, I know you will be 50,000 times more special than I can even imagine at this moment."
The 23-year-old musician announced her pregnancy with her first child, a baby girl in October. Since the announcement of her baby girl, Kehlani has invited fans to experience the highs and lows of her pregnancy and journey to becoming a mama! Including, her experience with prenatal depression, which she detailed via social media involved feelings of anxiety, isolation, an inability to sleep and decreased appetite.
She later revealed on Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio that the child’s father is her guitarist, Javie and that the two planned her pregnancy.
Just days before Kehlani gave birth, her loved ones came together for not one, but two, baby showers. Zendaya and SZA were a few of the celebs who gathered to celebrate Kehlani's future bundle of joy. She takes to Instagram to gush about the baby celebration.
"All for you Ms. Adeya Nomi. Thank you everyone for the most beautiful day ever. still in awe." The extravagant affair was followed by yet another baby shower in the SweetSexySavage singer’s Oakland, California home. Congratulations to the couple on their new bundle of joy!
