Nineteen year old songstress, Layton Greene signs to Quality Control Music. She is their first R&B artist and they are ready to take her voice to new heights! Greene became a viral sensation after a video of her cover Kodak Black’s “Roll In Peace” circulated the internet. Quickly the short clip received over 250,000 views and counting on Instagram and over 8,000 retweets on Twitter.
After seeing the positive feedback she decided to put out an extended version and uploaded it to SoundCloud and it did outstanding numbers, receiving 3.5 million-plus views in the first month! She composed the original song and switched it up with some of her own original lyrics and a “Lovers and Friends” vibe.
The G-Styles produced track shot up the chart to the No.12 spot on the Hot R&B songs chart. After that she decided to quit her job at a local food spot to pursue her music career. The East St Louis singer is well on her way to the top and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the R&B charts! We are at the edge of our seats ready for new music!
As the ink dries on her new deal, make sure to check out her most recent visual “Myself” below.
