Tekashi 6ix 9ine Gets Arrested and Put In General Population

With all the controversies surrounding Tekashi 69 since his start in the music industry, we now can add six federal charges, some of which carry max sentences of life in prison to his story. Following his cleaning house of his management team, the “Stoopid” rapper and five of his subordinates were taken into custody by the feds Sunday evening. Reports state that the new arrest relates to a five year federal joint investigation on Tekashi between the NYPD, Homeland Security, and the Justice Department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to a prosecuting US Attorney, Tekashi is looking at a possible lengthy jail sentence. Allegedly serving 32 years to life in prison for racketeering charges and other crimes such as:drug dealing, involvement in an armed robbery and a conspiracy to commit murder charge. Stemming from his alleged involvement with the New York gang Nine Trey Bloods, also known as “TreyWay” which we have all heard the rapper mention before. Unfortunately his possible involvement may cost him his freedom. Although he’s been to jail previously including a child sex offense charge he was hit with back in 2015, experts believe these RICO and racketeering charges could be what takes the star to prison. This recent arrest may seem to put a cap on the “FeFe” rapper’s continuous rise to international fame. Tekashi came on the music scene with a plethora of hit singles along with an extensive legal history. Tekashi was set to release his debut album ‘Dummy Boy’ later this week which include elite guest features from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and more. New reports state that Tekashi is in fact not getting any special treatment and will continue to be locked up awaiting his bail hearing. He currently is being held in general population without bail along with other inmates. 6ix9ine’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro Tells TMZ: Tekashi has been placed in gen pop at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center as opposed to being held in a segregated part of the federal penitentiary due to his celeb status.”

According to the U.S. Justice Department, the MDC (Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn) is known for its brutality with inmates who are "extremely dangerous, violent, or escape-prone.” Lazzaro believes 6ix9ine will be fine until his bail hearing on Wednesday. Stay tuned! We will keep you updated as more news surfaces.
