Women’s month is quickly approaching and before you know it women all over will be celebrated! What better way to kick off a wonderfully empowering month for women other than to gather women in music at WeWork in Tribeca on March 1st, 2019 to celebrate female music producers, djs, and audio engineers. The entertainment industry is saturated with male presence and for decades women have been breaking those barriers and this upcoming event is another stepping stone in doing so!
The Creator’s Suite: A Celebration Of Women In Music Production is an innovative event curated by Abhita Austin, and namesake to the organization she founded, The Creator’s Suite—which is dedicated to supporting a global community of women in music production. Abhita, in collaboration with The Digilogue Founder, Drew De Leon, and Gender Amplified Founder and Grammy-nominated Audio Engineer Ebonie Smith, has carefully crafted this event in response to the music industry’s deficit of female voices.
This incredible occasion is designed to give attendees a better understanding of what it takes to operate professionally within the field of music production and provides a welcoming space for women to learn, network, and be inspired. This kind of an event comes as a rarity in a male dominated industry, but not anymore! Here’s your chance. The Creator’s Suite event will bring engineer-songwriter Gloria Kaba with award-winning producer-engineer-songwriter Ebonie Smith together in conversation. This conversation will be followed by a workshop on beat making by iStandard beat battle champion and accomplished television composer Ms Madli. To close out the evening, there will be a curated beat cypher highlighting a diverse group of six exceptional women producers. This will be a women filled event that you DO NOT want to miss!
The event is being held at WeWork in Tribeca at 205 Hudson Street, New York, New York from 6PM- 9PM. Tickets are available now! Admission is free with RSVP HERE: https://celebratingwomeninproduction.eventbrite.com
