Tiffany Haddish kicked off the new year as the trending topic of 2019. To close out 2018, Haddish put on a comedy show and fans were not here for it!
Tiffany Haddish is best known for her breakout role in the box office breaking movie, “Girls Trip” and her co-star role alongside Kevin Hart for “Night School.” The comedian-actress also just won her first Emmy Award for hosting “Saturday Night Live.” With that being said, her standards are set high and fans only expect the best!
On New Years Eve, fans stormed out of the comedian’s show after she flipped her jokes and simply came unprepared. Shortly after the show began, fans started to clear out the seats after realizing her jokes weren’t funny or sticking at all. What’s more disappointing is the fact that even reading off an iPad her jokes weren’t funny! Show goers explained that the comedian turned actress didn’t have jokes for her set and appeared to be drunk.
In the wee hours on New Years, multiple fans who came from near and far to see her perform took to Twitter to complain about her terrible Miami performance and share their disappointment and their want for a refund. The tickets for Tiffany Haddish’s show in Miami were very expensive ranging from $49.50, $65, $85, $149.50 and $250 (plus fees). I’m sure it was especially expensive for those traveling from out of town and out of state. Her New Years Eve Show was held at the James L. Knight Center. Hopefully Tiffany gets the necessary bounce back following her failing NYE performance with all of her upcoming films such as “The Lego Movie 2,” “The Secret Life of Pets 2” and the upcoming animated series “Tuca & Bertie” on Netflix, maybe that’ll revive her career. Haddish also has a two-year deal with HBO for projects with her She Ready production company. May 2019 turn out better than her NYE comedy special!
