New York is home to Brooklyn Hip-Hop/ R&B singer, songwriter, and producer, Matthew Xavier Hunter. Better known by his stage name, WithLoveXavier. The BK triple threat has been singing since elementary school when he was first spotted and handpicked for his school choir - leading to numerous solo performances. In the choir, he unlocked his full potential as a singer and recognized the artistry within himself. His love for singing continued when he went to junior high school and joined their choir as an alto while also playing the saxophone for his school band.
During high school, WithLoveXavier played on the varsity basketball team and the volleyball team as well as competing in his school’s marching band. When in college, Matthew decided to leave the basketball team to fulfill his passion for singing and music. He’s what you call a “Self Made Artist.” WithLoveXavier began making music in his home studio. where he taught himself how to mix, master, and record his own music. It’s also where he established his stage name.
Music is sought out differently now a days and like a true artist would, Matthew used it to his advantage. On SoundCloud alone, WithLoveXavier has over 5K followers, 2.65M plays, and 33K likes. His Instagram has over 15K followers and garners 200K plus in weekly impressions. After garnering major buzz and popularity from Soundcloud and social media he set out to perform and showcase his talents throughout the NYC area . Following various successful shows in NYC, he took his talents down south to Miami and to the west coast to gain further knowledge of this industry and expand his audience. In doing so, he has received radio plays from one of the top NYC Radio stations in the city, Power 105.1 and has received mad love from some the top DJs in the NYC area like DJ Envy and Prostyle.
To expand his brand, the Brooklyn creator began selling merchandise and since has sold over a thousand items. The income from his merch allowed him the financial freedom to put more into his craft. With merchandise profits, he was able to release his first music video ever. In 2015, WithLoveXavier dropped his first music video for “Official” which aired on BET JAMS and MTV. In 2016, he released his DJ Los hosted mixtape titled, WithLoveXavier. A 13-track love story through his eyes touching on his love life and experiences growing up in NYC.
As of earlier this month, WithLoveXavier’s recent single “Good Vibes” had 100K streams world wide. On May 10th, WithLoveXavier will be living a childhood dream by performing alongside one of his musical inspirations, Gucci Mane at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Virginia. WithLoveXavier continues to work tirelessly to produce great music, show love to the fans especially the ladies, and to bring back those authentic R&B sounds.
